Marisol Cantina ("we", "us", "our") runs this website to share what we cook and to let you book a table. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site, why, who we share it with, and how you can reach us about it. We've kept it plain on purpose.

We are based in Fremantle, Western Australia, and we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us through a form on this site. We do not run any accounts, logins, or hidden tracking.

When you book a table or send us a message, we collect:

• your name
• your email address and/or phone number
• the date and time you'd like to come in
• your party size
• anything you write in the message or notes field (for example an occasion, an allergy, or a request)

That's the whole list. If you don't fill in a form, we don't collect personal information about you through this site.

Why we collect it

We use your details for one thing: to answer you. That means confirming or arranging your booking, replying to your message, and noting anything you've told us so your visit goes the way you want it to (an allergy, a high chair, a quiet corner). We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell them to anyone.

Who we share it with

To run the website's forms we use Cloudflare Pages, the service that hosts this site. When you submit a form, Cloudflare receives the information you entered and passes it to our inbox so we can read and reply. Cloudflare acts as a processor on our behalf and may store and process the data on its infrastructure, which can be located outside Australia. Beyond that, we share your information only:

• with our own email provider, because that's where your booking or message lands so we can read it; and
• if we are required to by law.

We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Analytics and cookies

We do not run any third-party analytics on this site, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare, as our host, may set strictly necessary cookies needed to serve the site securely and to make the forms work. These are not used to profile you or follow you across other websites. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first and tell you what changes.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and message details only as long as we need them to look after your visit and our normal business records, then we remove them. If you'd like us to delete your details sooner, email us and we will, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you,
• correct it if it's wrong, or
• delete it.

To do any of these, or to ask a question about your privacy, email us at hola@marisolcantina.com.au. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us and to limit who can see it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we can't promise perfect security, but we treat your details with care.

Children

This site is for booking a restaurant table and is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. For anything significant, we'll make the change clear.
